We returned to the States on December 13, 2010 from Kenya with a great sense of God's blessing for what He did during this mission. We distributed 130 pairs of eye and sun glasses at the Vision Clinic. Siaya, Kenya is on the equator and the intensity of the sun is damaginig to their eyes.
Ninety-two Pastors attended the PROJECT: Hope AIDS Seminar. We are still getting reports from them as to how effective the information they recieved is helping them assist the people in their communities.
We had 360 children at the Kids Krusade and 62 gave their hearts to Jesus. We had 10 more salvations in the Sunday services.
Forty widows attended the "Queen For A Day" event where we taught them how to take care of their feet, gave them manicures, played games with prizes, and gave each of them a Christmas gift. They had never had anything like this done for them and they had never recieved a Chirstmas gift.
We also conducted three cell group meetings in their homes which are mud huts with mud floors and the only opening is the door. But, they recieved us into their homes the same as if it was a mansion.
Our Prayer Walk in Israel was awesome. We arrived in Tel Aviv March 18, 2010, prayed on the beach of the Mediterranean Sea then got some rest. The next morning we drove into Jaffa then up the coast to Caesarea and Mt. Carmel, stopping to pray along the way. In Mt. Carmel we met a young missionary and ministered to him and his family before heading toward Nazareth where we spent two nights. We visited Caesarea Phillipi and the Golan Heights and Mt. Hermon, the Palace ofNimrod. We traveled o Tiberias, Tabgha and the Mount of the Beatitudes. On Sunday, we boarded the van and started for Jerusalem stopping at the Yardenit Baptismal site on the Jordan River, then on to Beit She'an. Arriving in Jerusalem, we checked into the Casa Nova Hotel near the New Gate. Monday, we went to Qumran Caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found, to Masada and then to the Dead Sea. The rest of our time was spent in Jerusalem following the path of Jesus' crucifixion. We prayed as we walked and at each specific site.
We had a Divine assignment, a mandate from God, to go to Israel to conduct a Prayer Walk. God laid this upon our hearts several months ago. We were to pray at specific locations for specific needs. A missionary friend in Israel told us that God is sending teams from all over the world at different times to pray for that nation. He ssigned March 17-28, 2010 as our time slot. This is a Divine intercessory movement and we were given a tiny part in it.
God gave us the itinerary of specific locations and specific prayers topics. We had the passion to “stand in the gap” for Israel and pray that God would have His way there. And, if there ever was a time to pray for Israel (politics, violence, drought conditions, economy, religious tension), it is NOW.
“On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; All day and all night they will never keep silent. You who remind the LORD, take no rest for yourselves; And give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” – Isaiah 62:6,7
This woman in Kenya is receiving a walking cane from Kay Cantrell that Betty's son,
Dino used before he passed away. Dino would have been very pleased to know that his cane is now being used.
We thank everyone who contributes in any way to make our Kingdom work possible. We could not do it without your prayers and financial support.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact us via email or phone. We are in need of medical teams to donate one week a year to work in the clinic in Siaya, Kenya. Ophthalmologists and dentists are greatly needed due to the high rate of cataracts and tooth decay. All categories of medical professionals are needed.
Non-medical personnel are also needed to work in the clinic in Kenya. These persons can help with sorting medicine, assisting with patients, teaching children or adults, and conducting kids crusades. Ministers are also needed for teaching and conducting crusades. If your church would like to participate, please contact us.
These are volunteer, self funded positions. We hope you'll join us in this vital mission work. Thousands of people need you!
